Dave Bender is a counselor (The Counseling Center at Bay City) and family pastor at Bay City Baptist Church in Green Bay, WI:
- MABC, The Master’s University
- MM, Northland International University
- CCEF School of Biblical Counseling
- BS, Maranatha Baptist University
- Director, The Counseling Center at Bay City
- Managing Director, The Three Desires Seminar
- Family Pastor, Bay City Baptist Church
Dave has completed two master’s degrees, one in counseling and one in pastoral ministry. He has taken a particular interest in his studies in understanding and researching the “why” of human behavior.
This research has caused him to evaluate those who have explored the subject: Aristotle, Pavlov, Watson, Skinner, Freud, Jung, Adler, Maslow, et al.
While each of these has added their own unique contribution to the science of human behavior (anthropology, sociology, psychology), they are not in complete agreement with each other, and in the end, they were unable to understand human motivation at its lowest possible level.
The bulk of Dave’s study on behavior has come from a book that most have set aside as obsolete: the Bible. (Those who treat the Bible as obsolete do so to their own peril.)
Yes, it does seem an odd place to search for answers to relationship problems, but this ancient book nails it like no other. The Bible is absurdly deep. No one has ever been able to mine its depths.
Dave directs The Counseling Center at Bay City, a counseling center based at Bay City Baptist Church in Green Bay, WI. He averages around 350 hours of counseling each year as part of his responsibilities.
Dave isn’t just a counselor and a pastor, he’s also a regular person involved in everyday, human relationships. He’s a husband, a dad, a son, a co-worker, and a friend. He enjoys staying active, and is also a pilot with an instrument rating and a commercial pilot certificate.
He understands human relationships and he looks forward to meeting and helping you.
