Dave Bender is a counselor and family pastor at Bay City Baptist Church in Green Bay, WI:
- MABC, The Master’s University
- MM, Northland International University
- CCEF School of Biblical Counseling (2 certificates)
- BS, Maranatha Baptist University
- Director, The Counseling Center at Bay City
Dave has completed two master’s degrees, one in ministry and care of people, and the other in counseling. He has taken a particular interest in his studies in researching the “why” of human behavior.
This research has caused him to study and evaluate those who have explored the subject: Aristotle, Pavlov, Watson, Skinner, Freud, Jung, Adler, Maslow, et al.
While each of these has added their own unique contribution to the science of human behavior (anthropology, sociology, psychology), they are not in complete agreement with each other, and it appears that they were unable to understand human motivation at its lowest possible level.
The bulk of Dave’s study on behavior has come from a book that most have set aside as obsolete: the Bible. (Those who treat the Bible obsolete do this to their own peril.)
Yes, it does seem an odd place to search for answers to relationship problems, but this ancient book nails it like no other. The Bible is absurdly deep. No one has ever been able to mine the depths of it.
Dave directs The Counseling Center at Bay City, a counseling center based at Bay City Baptist Church in Green Bay, WI. He averages 300-400 hours of counseling per year as part of his responsibilities.
Dave isn’t just a counselor and a pastor.
He’s also a regular person involved in everyday, human relationships. He’s a husband, a dad, a son, a co-worker, and a friend. He enjoys staying active and in shape, and is a pilot with an instrument rating.
He understands human relationships and he looks forward to meeting and helping you.
